Peter Pan Sales was established in 1935 by James Spurrell. The original location was on George Street in the heart of downtown St, John’s, NL. Originally, we were a meat packing company selling Peter Pan Ham and Peter Pan Bacon. In the early 1950’s, the need for a larger building moved the business from George Street to Lime Street where it continued operations, even after 2 fires and rebuilding both times. We had also been selling some paper products during that time, but it was in the 1960’s that Peter Pan Sales discontinued in the meat packing business and focussed on paper products and brokering many other products such as garbage bags and batteries. In 1975, Peter Pan Sales moved again to its current location 36 Clyde Avenue in Donovan’s Industrial Park, Mount Pearl, to better access rail service for its incoming products.

In 1989, Peter Pan Sales joined Balpex, which is an independent group of paper and packaging distributors throughout Canada. This partnership made it possible for Peter Pan Sales to have access to many more manufacturers of paper and packaging and offer competitive pricing against the national companies.

To this day, we stand by our original ways of offering competitive pricing combined with superior customer service and knowledge in the field. We are still a family run Newfoundland company with third generation family members striving to keep Peter Pan Sales at the forefront of the paper and packaging, janitorial and industrial market place here in Newfoundland and Labrador.
